Industrial Music Collides with Recovery In a GOOD way
Industrial rock music has often been darker, more negative, yet that has been evolving. There is this cool synth-rock I came across by Matt Soren the other day that has a fresh angle on alternative rock. His new album is a mix of recovery rock and the process of overcoming addiction.
There are some songs at his website at www.returnfrombroken.com. It sounds like they are raw versions while wrapping up official mixes. They sound high quality to me but that’s just me. It is cool to see more music like this written particularly for addiction recovery in a more enjoyable way from a person that has already been through it and is making a difference for others in addiction. Plus It’s nice to have this type of synth-rock arising from the industrial scene which is usually more negative in nature.
In addition, he has free mp3′s you can get from his website and more in his members area which is all free. I also saw discount passes, wallpaper, and other downloads. It will be exciting to get the album once it is released. Good stuff!
